Local media got a first look Tuesday at the new Hollywood Park Casino (HPC), due to open this Fall. Sitting on 11-acres, the structure includes 125 table games, simulcast wagering for horse racing, an intimate lounge, sports bar, restaurant and deli and a new parking structure.
“HPC is situated to serve its current player base and draw in a new generation of gamers,” said Hollywood Park Casino General Manager Deven Kumor. “The new casino will still have our favorite player perks like Blackjack and Baccarat, as well as our daily no-limit Texas Hold’em tournaments, but the new property is going to be bigger and better than ever.”
Kumor expects the new casino to become a hot spot for happy hours and a popular hangout before and after concerts at the Forum.
Designed by San Diego-based JCJ Architecture, the new casino spans 110,000 square feet. Each space from the lounge, public and private game rooms, simulcast wagering, restaurants and the sports bar has its own unique décor, accented by touches of gold, pewter, and dark brown.
“This is the first step in our revitalization,” said Mayor James Butts. “Along with the future home of the NFLs Los Angeles Rams, HPC and the many new businesses coming to Inglewood will bring with them new jobs, increased revenue and beautiful new properties for residents and visitors to enjoy, while not using any tax dollars or public funding for any of the construction.”
